What was accomplished?
- An overall vision was created that will guide the goals and outcomes of the rest of the Comprehensive Plan
- Determined potential build out scenarios preferred by Community
- Identified Theme Study Areas for the Plan
The following five Theme Committees were identified for Phase 4:

| Economic Development |
Focus on the diversification of the Town’s tax base; bringing in new businesses; reducing vacancy rates |
| Place making & Town Services |
Focus on the type of services that affect the Town (i.e. police, fire, town parks, etc); building & maintaining the Town’s identity; maintaining a sense of community |
| Mobility |
Focus on transportation related items including roads, bike lanes, greenways, multi-purpose paths, etc. |
| Community Services |
Focus on the services (i.e., education, library, healthcare, housing) provided by other agencies and/or organizations. |
| Leisure & Commerce |
Focus on the lakes (Lake Norman & Lake Cornelius) roles in the Town, retail, entertainment, general commerce |
